I am a transplanted Iowan, born and raised in Kansas City, although have lived in Iowa for 23 years. I guess when you move to Iowa you had better become a Hawkeye fan, so that’s what I did. I have been attending Hawkeye games as a season ticket holder since the mid 90s and sit in Section 138. Section 138 is in the northeast corner of historic Kinnick Stadium. We have a great view of the field of play – we can see all four corners of the playing field without much effort. We have a great view of the scoreboard, sidelines, and the tunnels to the locker rooms. Because I have recently taken up photography as a serious hobby and love the images of sport, I have decided to shoot scenes from Kinnick the way I see it and present it to all Hawkeye fans. The 2013 season marks the 3rd year for this blog.
Thanks for joining me. I hope you enjoy reading and viewing as much as I enjoy sharing. Gameday at Kinnick is special. It is experienced live by 70,585 faithful fans every Saturday. The venue itself is historic. The fans and traditions make it the spectacle that it truly is.
Feel free to comment. I encourage it and would love to hear and read your thoughts on the images here. However, I’m a family guy and would request this blog emulate those same ideals. This is supposed to be fun. And it is fun! Win or lose, you’ll get pics!
