Farewell To Iowa Hawkeye Basketball Seniors

When the Iowa Hawkeyes take on Illinois tonight in Carver Hawkeye Arena, fans will be showing their appreciation for three seniors who will be leaving campus credited with elevating Hawkeye basketball back to national prominence.  While the end of the season has not been what fans or the team desired as we head to post season play, nothing can be taken away from this group of seniors for what they’ve accomplished while donning the black, white, and gold.  You can never be disappointed when this group will be remembered for bringing Hawkeye fans with the first NCAA tournament bid in 8 years.  I’d like to share a few photos I’ve taken of these players.

Devyn Marble came to Iowa following in his father Roy’s footsteps, but surely leaving his own mark as one of the most accomplished Hawkeyes of all time.

Melsahn Basabe will be remembered for following coach Fran McCaffrey to Iowa City.  His growth during his 4-year career at Iowa has been impressive.

Zach McCabe is the prototypical Iowa son dreaming his whole life of being a Hawkeye.  His dream became a reality.

Lets wish these three the best and cheer them on to victory tonight and towards a long run in the post season tournaments!  Go Hawks!
