If you were at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, go ahead and admit it. You were thinking, “here we go again.” The script that has been written and re-arranged but with the same brutal ending over and over again since 2010 was right there before our eyes again. You know the one where we were just about to be rescued from the deserted island, but Gilligan screws it up all over again. But, wait. Jake Rudock finds CJ Fiedorowcz in the end zone in the opening OT possession for the touchdown. Then, with Kinnick redlining the proverbial decibel meter to levels unheard in years, the defense clamps down and makes Kain Colter look like, well, just another Northwestern wannabe NFL QB.
Finally, redemption. Finally a game the Hawkeyes deserved to win, they won. Finally, the taste of a Big 10 conference victory comes back to Kinnick. Here are some of the shots I captured this day. Go Hawks!
