Hawkeye Hopefuls: NFL Draft Day 2013

A 4-8 record is not going to do any favors for the Iowa Hawkeye draft class of 2013. Some pundits have even stated that there is a chance not one Hawkeye will get selected in this years draft, instead being relegated to the free agent market. Most certainly at greatest risk is Iowa’s string of three straight Round One picks. Bryan Bulaga, Adrian Clayborn, and Riley Reiff being the last three first rounders taken in each of the last three years.

Tonight, we’ll start to get an indication as the NFL begins the 2013 Draft. Hawkeye defensive back Micah Hyde has the greatest chance of being selected, but most so-called experts have him slotted to go in the later rounds.

Here are some photos I have taken over the last few years of players to watch for and where they land to begin their professional careers. Go Hawks!
