Hawkeye Homecoming Scenes 2012

Here are some scenes I captured of the Homecoming festivities happening inside Kinnick when the Iowa Hawkeyes battled Minnesota Golden Gophers for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy.  This year happened to mark the 100th Anniversary of the first Homecoming game for the U of I.

The players “swarm” the field behind the I-OW-A flags at the beginning of the 2nd Half.

Former Hawkeye RB Sedrick Shaw was the Honorary Captain for the game. Shaw was a standout RB for the Hawkeyes in the 90’s and was a 3rd round draft pick of the New England Patriots.

Team USA Gymnastics coach Liang Chow was on hand and recognized alongside the Homecoming Court at Halftime. U-S-A, U-S-A!!

Alumni Cheerleaders were on hand for the game…

…doing it “Gangnam Style”

All for the prize of Floyd of Rosedale
